Volos: Reported by 33-year-old 10-year-old son in prison – “Mommy is back” but does not believe

A 33-year-old man who was arrested in Risomilos Volos following a complaint by his 10-year-old son, who called the police when his father threatened his mother with a gun, is being sent to prison.

Although the mother retracted in front of the judges that she had signed a written statement to the police about what she had suffered from her husband, supporting the 33-year-old’s initial claims of epilepsy, she did not believe it. The court attributed her change of heart to pure fear.

The 33-year-old defendant was charged with domestic violence, causing bodily harm, sexual indecency, threatening a minor and unlawful possession of weapons and ammunition and was sent to prison pending appeal.

The judges said that the wife’s complete change of mind was the reason for the events that happened due to the fear of the 33-year-old.

The court sentenced him to four and a half years in prison and a fine of 900 euros.

Upon hearing the result, the mother fainted

The 32-year-old woman strongly resisted approaching the seat at the Autoforo Single-Member Criminal Court in Volos yesterday, in an attempt to defend her husband, whom she had condemned a few days earlier.

The 33-year-old recalled that his wife had epilepsy and that their son had mistaken a normal fight. As for the carbine, he said it came into his hands by accident because it was at home and belonged to a previous tenant.

Last Saturday, an episode of domestic violence took place in a village in the municipality of Riga Ferai, in front of a 10-year-old boy who called the police and his 3-year-old brother.

He threatened her with a carbine if she spoke and if she sided with her mother he would kill her and their eldest minor child. Newspaper.gr reports that the 33-year-old told the court that his wife “fell alone down the stairs”. He has epileptic seizures and can’t remember what he’s doing or saying. I am running to hospitals to cure her.”

The wife, completely contradicting her initial statement, admitted what the 33-year-old had said, which the court disbelieved as it considered her initial statement to the defense to be true under the protection she felt in A.T. Her husband was arrested earlier.
