The auction began on March 23 with a price of $32,000 from the company Wright auctions. This iPhone was given to Donald Jagadhar in June 2007 by a friend who had never opened it, as he owned a Motorola Razr at the time.
Jagadhar said:He liked the Razr because it reminded him of the walkie-talkie from Star Trek. And he wasn’t interested in social media much, he only used it for calls, not apps“.
Now, the first generation iPhone only makes calls as neither the operating system nor today’s apps support it. The hard disk capacity is only 8 GB. In 2007, the first generation iPhone was sold starting at $599.
