the moon light They live the dream of every band playing music during school breaks, rehearsing under the banners of Led Zeppelin, Nirvana and David Bowie. They play their music in arenas and people go crazy! Four Friends Band Who started out performing on the street in the neighborhoods of Rome, went on to appear on the X Factor and went on to win Eurovision in 2021, A few dozen light years ahead of “Zitti E Buoni”.

They want to be the saviors of rock and roll in the world. They want to “reheat” old rock and serve it fresh to the eager ears of Generation Z. Maniskin’s journey has one thing in common.

They want to play their music live in front of as many people as possible. They have always believed that a great live show can make anything possible.

In Eject in front of the Greek audience they performed a mix of pop rock punk and Italian magic with Damiano David half naked to cause fainting spells.

As is well known, thanks to YouTube and social media, what goes on on big band tours is not a global secret. So we were waiting for chaos at Kool Kids where Damiano used to bring fans to the stage for a school concert without limits. Tradition was followed here too as a group of girls took the stage and hugged a sweaty Damiano – perhaps taking a DNA sample so the gene wouldn’t be lost – And cover it with the Greek flag.

The song selection is not random. In the punk song “Kool Kids” we hear some other… Manskins imitating British accents and explaining “We’re not punk, we’re not pop, we’re eccentric.The triumphant, vulgar and chaotic song was written right after their Eurovision win, and, as they say, it was the moment when they felt omnipotent. They reproduce this omnipotence every time they play Kool Kids (which is also self-referential), even though Eurovision is now a distant memory for the Italians who have performed at the best festivals in the world. In the end, our girls literally worshipped Damiano on the altar of Maniskin.

Thomas – tireless in his parallel universe – returns with another single reminiscent of old classic rock tracks, allowing Damiano to rehydrate and throw down some water. I’m still f@cking-f@cking for our first date.

One of them is the hit song Måneskin which they saved for the tears at the end. “The Only One” is taken from the loneliness and abandonment of the rock musician is the personal opinion of Damiano David For the difficulty of separation. Gen Z’s rock music – a bit retro, a bit pop – reminds us of something familiar from the “glorious” past of big bands. But it’s something else! The energy is there, the determination in the voice is there, the look is glamorous, the tattoos are plentiful and the guitars are “hard”, but there is something lurking there, eagerly searching for its identity.

the Damiano David is the imposing force of nature at Maniskin.Who gets what he asks for from his audience, as long as he sings the first word in ‘seemOr atgossipOr athoney (Are you coming?) Since rock clichés have been elegantly reproduced resulting in a party of easy joy that can only be described as rock (of course). What can I say about the rock and roll crowd that played on Tuesday? In Ejekt they were as amazing as we heard them – with the amazing Giger microphone prominently featured).

In conclusion, perhaps this is enough. Logo of the girl markwho was caught holding her hands in front of Damiano throughout the ceremony: “You’ve kept me alive since 2018.” Fans give bands energy, and judging by the crowd we saw at Ejekt, Måneskin has been hitting the road to rack up a lot of miles.

****Aptly, during the ceremony, Måneskin was honored by Panik Records for their multi-platinum and gold sales in Greece. The platinum award was received by Panik Records CEO Giorgos Arsinakos, in the presence of the company’s team, shortly before the Italian stars took the OAKA stage and thrilled the audience at the Ejekt Festival. They were awarded for the gold album “Rush! (Are You Coming?)”, for the gold album “Teatro d’ira – Vol.I”, for the multi-platinum singles “Beggin’” (3P), “Zitti E Buoni” (2P), “I Wanna Be”, “Your Slave” (2P) and “Supermodel” (P), as well as one for the gold singles “Coraline”, “The Loneliest”, “Torna A Casa”, “Gossip” and “Morirò Da Re”.
