At the moment she landed at Bucharest airport, no one understood her at all. The weather said low temperatures from -7 to 1 but it said sunshine. The word snow was not mentioned anywhere.
This is what we encountered as soon as we landed. Everything is white! It was like landing on a cloud. Most of us even looked out and thought we still had time to land. But the moment the wheels hit the runway we understood what was happening.
The reason we came to frozen Romania is because Xiaomi introduced the new Redmi Note 13 series. With the slogan “Every shot is special”, Xiaomi's new smartphones promise unique images and powerful performance at an affordable price.
The Redmi Note series is one of the most value-for-money series as it provides the user with very powerful features that cannot be easily found in the mid-range.
Powerful processor, large storage space, good camera, durability and autonomy are just some of the elements that Xiaomi has put into the new Redmi Note 13.
The top model, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, has a triple camera system where the main camera is 200MP so that “every shot can be special”. It also has a storage space of 256 GB so that there is no problem storing files, and in terms of performance, its powerful processor (MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra) allows the user to play video games comfortably and do his work without any problems.
Xiaomi has paid great attention to the durability of the device due to its ability to withstand water and dust with an IP68 certification, as well as its screen. How many times have we seen budget smartphones fall apart in one fell swoop…? This probably won't happen on the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, with its 6.67″ display, since it has Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus®. It will hardly scratch or crack.
The other element that makes the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ stand out is its battery. It has a large capacity that provides comfortable use for more than a day, while the fact that it also supports 120W fast charging can make it go from 0% to 100% in just 19 minutes.
Almost all of the above are features that we rarely see in a smartphone of this category. In this way, Xiami wants to show that a smartphone does not have to be expensive to be of high quality.
The technical characteristics are nice, but let's go back to the snow-covered part of Bucharest. I've been to Bucharest in spring before, and there was colour, green in the parks, life in the streets, a different atmosphere. Now with the cold and snow it is another city. White City, there are no people outside. Of course, photos and videos in snowy landscapes are always blurrier. Especially if your smartphone camera (because it's always the easiest camera you have) isn't that good.
On this occasion, I had the opportunity to test the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ camera and the result was very satisfactory. The right contrasts and temperatures made photos in the snow iconic. The selection of zoom and ultra-wide-angle lens also provide more creative options, while the 200MP camera function makes it very easy to frame the photo the second time around.
Oh, and let's not forget the AI! Yes! The Redmi Note 13 also has AI functions in both the system and the camera. So you can easily remove elements you don't like in the photo (bystanders, cables, etc.) or improve the photo. The result here is also very good considering that we are talking about a mid-range smartphone.
In addition to the Redmi Note 13 series, Xiaomi also introduced us to the new Redmi Watch 4 with new features and sensors to better record the user's biometric data. But also the new earbuds, Redmi Buds 5 and Redmi Buds 5 Pro, which can be easily connected to more than one device, providing good sound quality and a very good noise cancellation function for a better user experience.
Xiaomi continues to invest in the mid-range smartphone segment, adding premium features to its devices, thus raising the bar. Certainly, someone who wants a smartphone that can take good photos, is durable, has autonomy and of course does not want to move to the premium segment, the Redmi Note 13 series has a model that will cover it.
