Weather: New emergency bulletin – drop in temperatures from Tuesday

Heat wave conditions have started early in the country (and beyond) this year, with high temperatures hitting us for a long time from June onwards.

For the 14th day in a row, the country has recorded extremely high temperatures with the mercury touching 41 degrees in many places.

Temperatures will gradually decrease in terms of maximum and minimum values ​​from Tuesday, which will be felt in most areas by the middle of next week.

According to the updated weather report of National Meteorological Service, the maximum temperature will be above 40 degrees Celsius till tomorrow Monday (22-7-2024) in our country.

Temperatures will gradually decrease in terms of maximum and minimum values ​​from Tuesday, which will be felt in most areas by the middle of next week.

Temperatures on Sunday (21-7-2024) and Monday (22-7-2024) are expected to reach:
A. 38 to 39 degrees in northern continental areas, 39 to 40 in other continental areas and 41 degrees Celsius in the interior.
B. 38 to 40°C in the eastern Aegean and Dodecanese islands.
c. 34 to 37 degrees Celsius in the rest of their island country.
39 to 40 degrees in Attica and 38 degrees Celsius in Thessaloniki province.

The good news is that the extreme heat wave will begin to subside from Tuesday (23/7), according to a recent post by Sakis Arnautoglou, with the thermometer dropping to 35 degrees, dropping to 32 on Friday and Saturday.
