What was it…the mysterious spiral that appeared with the Northern Lights

A spiral formation resembling … a galaxy appeared in the skies over Alaska in the early hours of Holy Saturday.

Fans of night observation recording the Northern Lights were surprised to see the strange formation.

According to The Guardian, it was the result of her Excess fuel which was launched by a SpaceX rocket that launched from California about three hours ago.

As the space physicist explained, Don Hampton Associate Professor at the Geophysical Institute at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Sometimes rockets have the fuel they need to be rejected.

When they do this at high altitude, that fuel turns into ice. And if it happens in the light of the sun, then when it is dark on the earth, it becomes visible as a large cloud, often circling.

While not a common sight, Hampton said he witnessed such incidents about three times.

A SpaceX rocket lifted off from Vandenberg Space Station in California on Good Friday night, with about 25 satellites on board.

In January, a similar vortex was captured by a camera at the Hawaiian Observatory, above Mauna Kea. At that time, scientists explained that the celestial phenomenon was caused by a military GPS satellite launched by a SpaceX rocket.
