When Bright Dara Met Alain Delon – The Intense Stares and the Handshake

Hours after legendary movie star Alain Delon died at the age of 88, Fotini Dara recalled the moment they met in person.

Through her post, the singer went back to 2009, when she was having lunch with her friends in Paris, while Alain Delon was in the same place.

The actor, as he described it, looked at her for some time, and shortly before leaving, he approached her to kiss her hand.

I sit with my date at a side table. I’m wearing a classic black midi dress and I’m just looking at my table, as all proper girls should.

Something makes me look into the middle of the room, where two old men and a beautiful mixed-race girl are sitting. I turn to my companion and say: There is a man looking at me and I think he looks like Alain Delon.

He turns and looks at me and answers me with a kind of indifference: It’s Dillon! I continue my meal with fear, which I admit, because I sometimes feel his gaze on me.

After some time, while we were at dessert – having barely tasted Alain Ducasse’s creations – the group got up and headed towards the exit, but he came towards us.

He shakes my hand and kisses my hand. Then I realize I was wrong when I saw “Rocco and His Brothers” as a child and said with youthful audacity that Dillon looked feminine to me. It’s not to my taste.
