Who is next after Lucescu, waiting for matters and priorities

Who is next after Lucescu, waiting for matters and priorities

Pending matters and priorities at PAOK regarding contracts that expire at the end of this year's season.

Razvan Lucescu will sign his new contract, which will keep him for the next few years in Tuba after his return from Romania.

Wednesday (12/27) is the last holiday that the PAOK coach granted to his players, who are expected to have training on Thursday (12/28).

It is clear that Lucescu, having already agreed with Ivan Savvidis, will proceed to arrange the final details, discussing the matter with the management staff.

The truth is that with the extension of the contract of the 54-year-old technician, the most important open issues that existed in the Thessaloniki team are closed.

Contracts that have been completed

From now on, in addition to the January transfers, which will certainly preoccupy Dykefalos' staff, the discussion about contracts expiring in the summer should also be opened.

As for the loanees (Meti, Marcos Antonio and Kenziora) there is not much to do at this time.

But on the other hand, there are footballers whose contracts are entering the final six months of their validity and who, as of next week, will have the right to discuss as free agents with any team they wish in the next stage of their career.

This category includes Tyson, Morg, Schwab, Brandon Thomas, Zivko Zivkovic, Frakas, and Verinha. The latter represents a special case, as everything shows that this season will be the last in the career of the PAOK captain, with all that this entails.

There is also a special case in Brandon Thomas who in the summer re-signed a 1+1 contract, with clauses that would lead to its automatic renewal, and would almost certainly be covered with the season he spends.

Priorities

Among the rest, the priority seems to be for Tyson and then the Austrians Morg and Schwab.

The Brazilian has stated several times now that he feels very good at PAOK. In fact, he emphasized in his last public statement that despite the fact that before coming to Tomba he was thinking about hanging up his boots, he would be very happy if he stayed with the team after the end of this season.

Tyson is very important to PAOK and it stands to reason that he will be the one with whom contract renewal discussions will begin first.

In the case of the Austrians, the case of Thomas Morg receives special attention. Morg, who has been reborn this year and is having the best season of his career with PAOK.

The fact that Razvan Lucescu, who contributed to the turnaround, will remain on Dykvalu's bench, may also play a role in the future of the 29-year-old midfielder who became his team's top scorer in the league this year.

Schwab and return home

Stefan Schaub represents solid value, but since last summer he seems to be thinking more strongly about the prospect of returning home.

There were often scenarios for Austrian teams that wanted to include him in their team, and he made no secret that he wanted to return to his homeland at some point to finish his career there.

Exploiting Farkas and its end Zivkovic

Giorgos Frakas returned in the summer from his loan at Levadiakos, but was unable to get the playing time he wanted.

He made eight minutes in the Conference League qualifiers as a substitute and a few matches with PAOK II. Logically in Tomba, they would have to decide how they would be able to take advantage of him.

Finally, for Zivko Zivkovic, this would make sense his final year at PAOK.

The Serbian goalkeeper will complete five years at Toumba in the summer and as everything shows, the succession situation at his position will be looked into.
