The new data is in the works for six days
From July 1, 2024, the new regulation for its implementation will enter into force Six days’ work With a daily salary increase of 40%.
In this context, work will not exceed 8 hours, and overtime and overtime are prohibited. If the sixth workday is provided on a holiday or Sunday, the employee will also receive a 75% increase in hourly pay plus 40%.
This measure relates to specific business sectors and aims to provide a solution for continuous flow businesses, which in exceptional cases and in certain periods may have a greater need for staffing and the sixth day of the week.
The main difference is that companies will now have the option of a six-day contract and not under the “five-day contract with a sixth day added” system.
It should be noted that 6-day work has been legislated since 2005 and only relates to specific economic activities of continuous operation (e.g. refineries).
The change that has been made is to inform the Ministry through the ERGANI II system about whether an employee is paid on Saturdays with a salary of more than 40% as stipulated in the legislation.
The increased workload will be subject to review by the Labor Inspectorate to determine whether the 6-day shift is justified.
