The news from gov.gr stunned her
A 31-year-old woman in Thessaloniki, who followed the recommended procedures for the consummation of her marriage with her long-term partner, was reported to be maintaining a covenant – with an unknown man – a citizen of Albania. Never seen her in my life. She was even informed that she was living with him in a rented house hundreds of kilometers away from her actual residence.
According to local website grtimes.gr, the 31-year-old woman was planning to get married in August, but after this development, she will not be able to meet the set date because court rulings will take time. The previous cohabitation agreement confirmed through her ignorance should be annulled. According to her attorney, the 31-year-old was the victim of an alien legal scam because the scammers used her stolen identity.
They broke into his house and stole his identity card, VAT number and AMKA
On February 16, 2023, at the White Tower security department, his 32-year-old fiancee reported a burglary at their apartment in Thessaloniki a few hours earlier. The unidentified miscreants who entered the premises through the main entrance without any sign of tampering took away a mobile phone, two laptops, a digital watch, other electronic items, gold jewelery and two wallets, one of which contained a police identity card, TIN and AMKA of a 31-year-old.
Last month, the 31-year-old applied online for a civil marriage license to marry his fiancée on August 26 in Halkidiki.
On June 22, via e-mail, the woman received a message from GOV.GR, which read, “It is impossible to process your request as your family area is pending settlement.”
This is because a document from the registry office of Agios Dimitrios in Dodoni, Ioannina revealed that she had entered into a cohabitation agreement with a 30-year-old Albanian.
On March 3, 2023, the couple panicked when a message arrived in the woman’s email. The sender was AADE, who informed her that she had a rented apartment where she appeared to be staying with her Albanian-accused husband. The seat of this particular house is in the settlement of Nea Museodisis of Ioannina.
It appears that the perpetrator or perpetrators created a forged notarial document for the cohabitation agreement. “…on the day this deed was drawn, my deed registration book will have a number starting with 9061, so it could not have been drawn by me,” the notary said in a written statement, according to a local website. .

“Throughout Greece, shills or shills create fake notarial deeds of new marriage contracts and declare them in remote registries from the notary office where the marriage contract is supposed to have been signed. In our case, from Thessaloniki to the Dodoni registry office,” victims’ lawyer Charalambos Apostolidis pointed out to GRTimes.
“These acts of registration are used by foreigners – in our case Albanians – to obtain a residence permit, even if temporarily due to marriage. This person signed a lease agreement to prove that he has a citizenship, and lives with his absent wife, who is unknown.
The problem has turned to tragic proportions as the woman plans to have her wedding on August 26, 2023 and all the arrangements (wedding dress, clothes, favors, reception area etc.) have been made and thousands of Euros have been spent. “However, within these narrow margins, the marriage is impossible because there is no time to pass the necessary court rulings to annul this non-existent marriage-cooperation agreement,” the lawyer underlined.
